Treatment Process

First Free Consultation

The first consultation at 99dollarsmile is absolutely free! The first visit will give you the best evaluations possible complete with pictures of the patient smile/bite, panoramic x-rays, and a complete oral scan, followed by a consultation with your orthodontist. During this time we will give the patient a detailed explanation of their treatment and verify their insurance coverage, if any. We will also take the time to answer any further questions you may have before diving further into starting your treatment.

If you are ready to start treatment we can schedule you as soon as the following day. If you are not sure or do not want to start treatment we can always schedule you for a later date. Typically, the first consultation is about 30 to 45 minutes.

Starting Treatment/Contract Visit

After the necessary paperwork has been filed we can begin working on getting your braces on. The down payment for your treatment will be due at this time and if you have not signed the Contract and Advised Consent forms we will take care of that as well during this second visit.

Brackets and Bands

On this visit we will be begin the main stage of your treatment by applying brackets/bands or any special appliances that the patient may need. To have a successful treatment process we always explain additional and essential information from start to finish about the entire treatment. We will keep the patient updated on where they stand in regards to their treatment. This visit will take approximately 60 to 90 minutes to complete.

Following Appointments

Most appointments involve only routine adjustments and last only about 15 to 30 minutes. Procedures may vary from visit to visit, and it will be essential throughout the course of treatment to have a few longer appointments to place, reposition, or change your braces.

Debonding and Follow-Up Appointments

The debond appointment will be nearing the end of your treatment! The orthodontic assistants will let you know one month in advance when you will be removing your braces. This visit will last approximately 60 to 90 minutes and right after you will be able to see the amazing transformation your teeth have gone through. The only difference will be that you will now be wearing your retainer instead of your braces. We usually take an updated photo of the new you so we can send it to you and you can show your friends and family. The orthodontist will have the patient come back in 6 months to follow up on any questions the patient may have.
